The oddsandbets profit maximization formula

Apart from the regular arbitrage betting formula, OddsAndBets also supplies you with a formula for maximizing your profit (available in the MS Excel spreadsheet in our Downloads section).

Use the Profit MAX formula to choose your favorite for the game (the team/player you think would win). Then follow the steps as per the picture below:

Step 1: Type in the odds on that team/player you think would win the game under the "Odds To MAX" header in the formula.

Step 2: Type in the odds on the other outcome under the "2nd Odds" heading. You will automatically see the surewin margin in %.

Step 3: Type in the desired stake on the 1st outcome (the one you want to MAX on ) in the bold cell right under the "Odds To MAX" header.

Step 4: The formula will automatically calculate the necessary stake on the 2nd outcome, as well as your potential profit in the green box below.

If your favorite (the player you MAX-ed on) wins the game you will make more profit from that arbitrage. If he/she loses the game you will break even. Statistically speaking, favorites in a game win in the majority of the cases, so if you use the Profit MAX formula, in the mid and long-run, you will make much more profit from your arbitrage betting.

If you want to use the Profit MAX formula for Betfair arbs - use the "Odds After %" value from the right-hand side of the formulas sheet. All else works just like with a regular arbitrage.
